Adding P.I.F. Frames
Adding P.I.F. Frames to the Digital Camera
On some EPSON digital camera models supporting P.I.F. Frames, you can take a picture using the added P.I.F. Frames.
This section describes how to add P.I.F. Frames to the memory card of a digital camera. See the user's manual of your digital camera for information on the camera's operation.

Make sure that the software for P.I.F. is not running before you start EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool.

Some of the functions are not available in some areas.

For Windows users: Click the Start button, point to All Programs (Programs for Windows 98SE/Me/2000 users), EPSON PRINT Image Framer, and then select EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool. Click EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool.

For Mac OS X users:
Double-click your startup disk icon on the desktop, the Applications folder, EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool folder, and then EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool icon.
EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool starts.

Select Digital Camera from the Change Destination menu.

When the following dialog box appears, insert a memory card in the memory card drive, and then click Next.

When you insert a memory card, the software for P.I.F. may start. If this happens, quit the software for P.I.F.
|

Click on the right side of the Memory Card pull-down list to select a destination memory card drive.

The memory card may not be recognized when you click Next immediately after the memory card is inserted. If this happens, click Rescan and locate the memory card drive again.

A subfolder named EPUDL is created in the root folder of the selected drive; P.I.F. Frames are moved or copied into this folder.

After selecting the memory card, click OK.
|

Insert the CD-ROM. From the CD-ROM, select ALBUM or FRAME in the LAYOUTS folder of the left window.

P.I.F. Frames that can be added appear in the left-side list.

Note for Windows users:

You need to map a folder on the network drive before you select the folder.

If you have downloaded P.I.F. Frames from a website, locate the P.I.F. Frames from the folder tree on the left.

Paper sizes are indicated by their paper icon.

P.I.F. Frames for digital camera supports multiple paper sizes.

When adding, you can only select the P.I.F. Frame for digital camera.

Select a P.I.F. Frame for digital camera that you want to add, and then click .
|
Clicking the
button copies the selected P.I.F. Frame to the memory card.

Note:

Adding P.I.F. Frame for a digital camera by using the
button is not possible (the button is dimmed), but using the button is possible.

Only P.I.F. Frames for digital camera can be added.
|
|

You can store up to 100 files on a memory card; however, the actual number depends on the capacity of the card.

Close EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool.
